Until 1965 nudity was legal in U.S

I recall a time in America in which young men and women were allowed to be nude. I graduated high school in 1958. During that time nudity was not viewed as it is today. I attended a high school which allowed nude swimming. In those days boys had to be nude for gymnastics track or swimming. I recall they had to be nude for working out as well.

The American Public Health Association in 1926 created a mandatory law that people should swim nude for hygiene purposes. It was then legalized. Nudity was legalized! It was legal until 1962.Take a look at these pics of high school gym classes and public pools from the 1920's to the 1960's.

Nudity was okay.

Nudity it only truly became unacceptable in 1965. Before that it was perfectly acceptable.

You see in 1962 the Baby Boom ended, but also the American Public Health Association said “nudity is now illegal.” Around 1965 the porn industry kicked into high gear. Playboy, and Penthouse magazine made nudity the new irresistible sin.

Even in a lot of old black and white films there was nudity without sexual intention. Like people bathing in rivers was just normal.
It can sound crazy to us, but swimming naked was okay, but a swimsuit could be indecent.

(I was put a link from a video but im not sure if Quora would accept)

Along with the new law that nudity is illegal, came protests by college students. Nude protests. And you thought those protests were only for peace didn’t you?

Nope. Nudity was now illegal and people did not like it. So the hippie movement began.

After the hippie generation, tv evangelists began preaching about how sinful nudity is.

So the next generation fell back into a puritanical state complete with lies about the previous generation and how utterly boring life was in the 1940's and 1950's

The people who were born in the 1980's were brainwashed by the Public school system and the media to believe lies about the 1940's, 1950's and 1960's.

You know about how uptight people were in those days, and how people showered with clothes on. Yeah, those lies.

The media scrubbed away any all historic records pertaining to a time when nudity was LEGAL! Then in the mid 1980's a sexual prohibition began with tv evangelists preaching against nudity.

The porn industry however was making a fortune off of porn videos, and magazines and still is to this day.

All this while the kids of this generation are growing up to believe nudity has always been illegal and sinful.

You can get a look in the 70s and early 80s when they still put nudity as normal and even in pg films that children could see, female naked breasts was okay, even frontal nudity.

Films like
Fantasia
Wizards
Jaws
Airplane
Sixteen Candles
Beastmaster
Howard the Duck
Etc…

Yes, you dindnt read wrong the classic Fantasia from Walt Disney had naked female breasts and nobody saw any problem until the 90s.

Frankie Howerd was the master of innuendo. Now secret tapes reveal protests over his smuttiness drove him to drugs

The bizarre home of comedian Frankie Howerd has been frozen in time since his death two decades ago. The life-size painting of Howerd over the fireplace, the 3D portrait of Elvis Presley, the gold velour sofa where the comic died . . . it is as though the house is waiting for Frankie to return. And no wonder, for he was the king of miraculous comebacks. Fifty years ago, Frankie Howerd stood up to give what he believed would be the last performance of his career. The former bill-topping star of hit radio shows, beloved by millions, had been left behind as the age of TV took over. Unable to get even the worst end-of-the-pier jobs in comedy, by 1962 Howerd had decided to chuck it all in and run a pub with his business partner (and secret boyfriend) Dennis Heymer. Howerd resolved to make just one farewell appearance. It was a performance that was to revive his popularity, putting him back on the path to national stardom. Now, thanks to an incredible cache of recordings found at Howerd...

When so many other Germans remained silent, the members of the White Rose risked their lives to speak out against the Nazi regime

When so many other Germans remained silent, the members of the White Rose risked their lives to speak out against the Nazi regime. Composed of mostly university students, including brother and sister Hans and Sophie Scholl and their friend, Christoph Probst, the White Rose wrote pleading messages and distributed them to thousands of Germans. They begged their fellow citizens to rise up against the Nazis and their persecution of Jews. “The Jews, too, are human beings,” they wrote. On February 22, 1943, the Scholls and Christoph were tried for the crime of treason, convicted, and beheaded in a matter of hours. While their voices went unheard then, today—more than 80 years later—the group serves as a symbol of righteous rebellion.  Photo: George J. How common were instances of sexual abuse in Nazi concentration camps

How common were instances of sexual abuse in Nazi concentration camps. The accounts that rap£ or prostitution was common, Were the guards were given "free reign" over the prisoners given view of them as subhuman The Nazis sort of developed a network of state-controlled brothels during the war. This included both the civilian and military brothels. The Nazis even set up brothels for the forced labor inmates that helped with the German war effort as incentives for higher production from prisoners in camps. Back then these brothels were suppose to serving several needs. For the soldiers that were far away from home, the Nazis thought that having these brothels would reduce the possibility of rape in occupied lands and reducing the sexual relations with impure local women or forced laborer's, as well. Heck, the Nazis tried to use these brothel women to cure homosexuality as a treatment with male prisoners that were gay. Regular German women were exempt from serving in these b...

The prisoners in concentration camps have sex with each other

The prisoners in concentration camps have sex with each other Steady on. Nearly all concentration camps were single-sex, and at those that held both men and women the sexes were usually kept separate, though at Auschwitz III (Monowitz) and possibly also some other sub-camps they worked together. At extermination camps (where the sexes were not separated) most of the prisoners were killed within 24 hours of arrival. Prisoners did not have privacy. Remember that at the time most people had a horror of same-sex relations, especially between men. However, some Kapos and even guards forced prisoners to have sex with them. In Night Elie Wiesel relates how he found his Kapo having sex with a female prisoner, and he (Wiesel) was given 25 lashes for finding them having sex.* In the Women’s Camp at least one guard forced another woman to have sex with her, and at many camps there was a piepel (camp bum boy). *He also describes the hanging of the piepel of a Blockältester ( ‘block senior’). ...
