Ancient Persian torture technique where the victim was sealed in a barrel of milk and honey with his head protruding from the top. He would be left in the sun and force-fed at regular intervals so that he would be forced to defecate in the barrel.

The combination of faeces, heat and milk & honey inside turned the concoction into a toxic sludge. Soon the victim’s skin became infected, and this became sceptic shock. The victim’s body rotted while he was still alive.Scaphism
