How they prepare someone who is going to be executed by the electric chair

Every time it really depends on a state and a prison where the inmate is executed. Basically there is a very similar scenario for all of them.

Say goodbye

  • a few hours before execution an inmate writes his “Good Bye” letter
  • he is allowed to have his last phone call (depends on him to whom he cals)
  • he is asked what should be the last meal he wants to eat and the cook prepares it for him

Process of preparation

After eating inmate's last meal, he has to take a shower. Guards check all parts of his body.

Then they help him to wear an adult diaper. It’s very important because during an execution inmates often urinate, defecate or ejaculate.

Then the inmate must dress into a uniform. Colour of this uniform depends on a prison but every time it’s just one colour uniform.

Depends on a prison, the inmate is asked if he want some socks to protect his feet walking to the execution. But mostly it’s not important and the inmate is lead in the electric chair barefoot without any shoes and socks. If he has some, guards will take them off as he will be strapped to the chair.

After dressing, guards shave inmate's head and one of his ankles must be prepared for an electrode. So is his head, so there can’t be anything that could slow electric circuit.

After this process guards take the inmate into an execution room and the inmate is executed.

Days before his execution at the Florida State Prison

Days before his execution at the Florida State Prison, Ted Bundy spoke to his ex-girlfriend" Elizabeth Kloepfer by phone, finally admitting to her what was already known: he was a cold-blooded serial killer. "The force would just consume me," Bundy told her. "Like one night, I was walking by the campus and I followed this sorority girl. I didnt want to follow her. I didn't do anything but follow her and that's how it was. l'd be out late at night and follow people like that.. I'd try not to, but l'd do it anyway." Elizabeth "Liz" Kloepfer, Ted Bundy's longtime girlfriend and former fiancé, disappeared from the public eye nearly 40 years ago. Before she did, she wrote a book, The Phantom Prince: My Life with Ted Bundy, detailing her turbulent, six-year relationship with the infamous serial killer, who had led a double life as a loving partner and a heinous serial killer. (Bundy eventually admitted to killing 36 women across seve...

Beria cried like a baby when he heard he was going to be executed

Beria cried like a baby when he heard he was going to be executed There was an official investigation back in 1999 to figure out what had exactly happened. Beria was not even present at the trial (which was held behind closed doors), he had been executed two days earlier on 21 December 1953 by Stanislav Gribanov. According to Gribanov, he cried and shit himself before he was gunned down. The trial itself (which included plenty of other people) was pretty much a legal mess. When the tribunal could not reach a unanimous verdict; Marshal Koniev sent in armed troops and asked them to vote again … the second vote was unanimous. Apparently, Molotov was the only one who protested against these “illegal proceedings”. Alas, by 1999, there had been so many investigations and re-trials to set straight Soviet history and judicial crimes that nobody took notice anymore, we are literally talking about tens of thousands of cases There are some references to his crying but more references to his grove...

How common were instances of sexual abuse in Nazi concentration camps

How common were instances of sexual abuse in Nazi concentration camps. The accounts that rap£ or prostitution was common, Were the guards were given "free reign" over the prisoners given view of them as subhuman The Nazis sort of developed a network of state-controlled brothels during the war. This included both the civilian and military brothels. The Nazis even set up brothels for the forced labor inmates that helped with the German war effort as incentives for higher production from prisoners in camps. Back then these brothels were suppose to serving several needs. For the soldiers that were far away from home, the Nazis thought that having these brothels would reduce the possibility of rape in occupied lands and reducing the sexual relations with impure local women or forced laborer's, as well. Heck, the Nazis tried to use these brothel women to cure homosexuality as a treatment with male prisoners that were gay. Regular German women were exempt from serving in these b...

The prisoners in concentration camps have sex with each other

The prisoners in concentration camps have sex with each other Steady on. Nearly all concentration camps were single-sex, and at those that held both men and women the sexes were usually kept separate, though at Auschwitz III (Monowitz) and possibly also some other sub-camps they worked together. At extermination camps (where the sexes were not separated) most of the prisoners were killed within 24 hours of arrival. Prisoners did not have privacy. Remember that at the time most people had a horror of same-sex relations, especially between men. However, some Kapos and even guards forced prisoners to have sex with them. In Night Elie Wiesel relates how he found his Kapo having sex with a female prisoner, and he (Wiesel) was given 25 lashes for finding them having sex.* In the Women’s Camp at least one guard forced another woman to have sex with her, and at many camps there was a piepel (camp bum boy). *He also describes the hanging of the piepel of a Blockältester ( ‘block senior’). ...
