When venomous snakes sink their fangs into the body of a human or animal, they inject a complex mixture of toxic proteins, enzymes and other molecular substances into our bloodstream. It disables you by breaking down your cellular mobility which often leads to paralysis, internal bleeding and death. This phenomenon is known to many and has been seen numerous times. But will the outcome be the same if snake venom is consumed as a drink? Several Netizens raised this query on Quora–a public interactive platform. On January 8, 1811, enslaved men and women from St. Charles, St. John the Baptist, and St. James parishes rose up and walked downriver toward New Orleans. They were armed with few rifles, sabers, machetes, fire-hardened oak sticks, or simply with their tools.
