Hi.
In February 2001, Robbie Williams was attacked and thrown off stage in front of thousands of people in Germany.
He was performing at the Stuttgart's Schleyerhalle stadium in Stuttgart, when out of nowhere a man came rushing behind him and pushed him off the stage. A police spokesperson stated:
A 20-year-old man managed to get from the auditorium into the backstage area of the Schleyerhalle at around 10.05pm last night. He got onto the stage while Robbie Williams was singing, ran at him from behind and pushed him in the back. Robbie Williams did not see him coming, as he was concentrating on the song and the audience, and he fell from the stage into the security area, a drop of around 1.60 metres (5ft 3in). A member of the band - the guitarist - tried to seize the attacker and, in the struggle, the attacker too fell into the security area, where he was held by security staff. Robbie Williams climbed back onto the stage and was able to carry on without a break. He was only lightly injured and did not require the attention of a doctor before continuing the concert. The man was arrested and taken to a doctor. He appears to have psychiatric problems. No trace of alcohol or drugs was found and he did not have a weapon.
The man attacked him because he thought he was a clone of Robbie and not the real singer. Here's the video of the incident:
